Yeehaaww!

Dukes of Hazard

Now I used to be the biggest fan of the DoH. I had the sheets, the lunch box, and the sleeping bag. Before I realized how hot Daisy Dukes was or how fast the General Lee could go, I was a big fan.

Why is DoH on three times a day on Country Music Television in the year 2006?

Isn’t the point of music television music? Should not the majority of content on a music television channel have something to dow with music or at least pop culture?

MTV addressed these concerns when they created MTV2, a channel devoted to playing music videos 24-7-365. Now they barely play any.

I like music. Music videos are entertaining at times. Where can I find them?

Tuesday

You ever notice that Tuesday is probably the worst day of the week? Monday you know you have the entire week ahead of you, Wednesday the week is half over and Thursday is just one day away from Friday. But Tuesday…………….Jesus man………………..I don’t know if I’m going to make it. Two important dates…………..sorry one important date two events, first is my birthday…………damn right………second is my next show with "Goose". Both events will be at the Madhatter in Lawrence on January 18th everyone who can make it should, good times to be had by all. Anyway, I haven’t blogged for some time so I thought that 8:21 am on a tuesday would be the best time. So I started a "MySpace" account and I feel really silly now. Drink Hamms and be merry or happy or whatever I am supposed to say, what the hell……………………………………….I’m out.

Back in Kansas

Logging from the Interstate
Back in the flatlands
Enough fun
Back to work

So I dropped by Longhorns yesterday to pick up some CCR tickets. The tickets are $25 per person. They were $17 only five months ago. When I saw them at the Cotillion in Wichita, tickets were $12.50. cg

Dayton Roller

Here I sit
In a penthouse suite
At the Denver Four Points Sheraton
Denver skyline from top floor
11th of a tall hotel
Pretty, pretty
Lots of lights

I made the final table
At the CAA poker tourney
I hope Dayton won
I left when I got spanked

Too much
Too many
Too few

Lock and load

Back

to work.

I officially started working with student teachers again today. I visited Junction City Middle and High Schools and seem to have a good group over there in Junc town. I have 14 ST’s to chase down in all reaching Topeka, Wamego, and Rock Creek.

Because my class load isn’t enough to keep me busy–ha–I am also working on becoming National Board Certified this year. This basically means I drop $2500 and get to be a first hour full time teacher again for a few weeks. Back are the days of lesson planning and grading. Hmmm.

Hey, are we still supposed to be blogging everday? Haven’t seen our leader on here for a number of days. Hmmm.

R & R

A little R & R in store for the weekend! I actually have the weekend off! No Travel, No Plans and damn it feels nice. I think that I’ll sit around the house and play video games for most of the weekend, ha……..take that.

Jackyls

The people who work for Blue Cross Blue Shield are Jackyls………Don’t have much to say today. Everyone should come out January 18th to the Madhatter bar in lawrence. "Goose", my new rock band is opening up for "Photolab".

New Stick

It is black and shiny. It is also considerably bigger than my last one (the red one). I love it already although I have just barely touched it and am yet to play with it. Thanks to my parents for providing such a great Christmas.

No, no, no, I didn’t undergo any major plastic surgery over the past few weeks but I did get a new Ibanez five string bass that just sounds incredible. Ever since borrowing a pearl white Ibanez five string (thanks to Kevin Noland) I have been sold on them. Unfortunately, the thieves were too when they stole it and all my other bass gear nearly six years ago. I paid Kevin what I could and quit playing for four years.

It has been a long time waiting but the wait was worth it.

AT–you don’t need to bring your five string back from Western Kansas. Although if you could grab the acoustic bass, I would love to play that some.

MP–Sorry to have missed the show. Do you guys have anything else scheduled? Tell me where and when.

JIM–When are you coming back this way? Are you alive out there?
