Just wanted to say hello again.
Anyway, not much to update…We had a relaxing day of Tapas and coffee on Friday (May 25th) with our friend Silke. We took a nice long walk down the beach with our feet in the water and then headed into town for beer, tapas and coffee. After Tapas we sat down to watch Apocalypto, good movie by the way, just remember that it is FICTION!
We went out to see some live music Friday night. Caught this band that was damn good……they were a five piece. After one set we started bar hopping…Did you know that in Spain you can just leave the bar with your drink and go to the next. Every bar has the same glasses just for that purpose. We had a great time but I feel a little rough as I’m typing this on Saturday morning.

Spain!

Its about 1 am here and well……….having a damn good time. Yesterday Bobbie and I flew into Barcelona. We had an eight hour lay-over so we went into the city for a bit. We pretty much got lost right off the bat while looking for the Picasso Museum. Tiny street after tiny street finally lead us to the museum. Every corner we turned smelled like garbage, but the sights were beautiful. But no time for pictures because we only had an hour to look through the museum by the time we found it. I speak descent spanish but…..well everyone in Barcelon spoke Catalan. I got by with some broken spainsh though. Our next flight took us to Jerez where our friends Kristine, Lily, and Silke met us. We were up for about um……………. 2 days but managed alright. Today (Thursday) I slept in until 2 in the afternoon………ahhhh vacation. Bobbie went with Kristine to go shopping and to try on the wedding dress. Then Bobbie came home and we went to the beach to get me a nice sun burn!!!! hooray! Bobbie is fine though. Our friend Silke met us again for Tapas in the afternoon. Now I’m really tired and a little drunk and ummmmmmmm…….. gotta go.

Update

Well, school is about to kill me, I play too much music but beyond that I’m great. It will all be over after next semester though. In other new, I’ve started another recording session project with a band called Big Stack Daddy. I’m recording drum tracks for a song called "Peace Song". It is with some real knock out musicians. I like these guys alot. Keep your ears open for this tune on the radio. I’m recording the tracks on April 14th and hopefully they’ll be radio ready soon after.

Its been awhile since the last post, as usual, but I’ve got some news about my other band "Guse". We played the Waka Winter Classic on Friday and took home the prize. So Guse will be playing Wakarusa Fest this year……hooray! Anyway all is well on myside of things. I’ve been in a constant search for a place to practice and let me tell ya’ man…….not that much fun. Living in an apartment is death for a drummer………I’ll figure it out soon though. I’m really looking forward to playing Longhorn’s on Thursday, its going to be a powerful show…….hope to see everyone there.
We were the featured artist today on the radio in Manhattan…………..damn sweet!

Well, not too much to update other than that. School has once again turned me into a maniac without any freetime but……..who cares! We’re playin’ Longhorn’s!

See you there.

The New Year

Christmas is behind and the new year is on its way in. I’ve got no big plans for anything this year except playing music. I’m hoping for some big things from the ATB this year. We’ve finally booked Longhorn’s in Manhattan and that has me all ramped up. It should be a good show!
Guse, my other band just finished our demo. www.myspace.com/guserock or www.garageband.com/artist/guse if you would like to check out the tunes!

I’m looking to get into a house soon because I’m running out of space as my kit gets larger and my wife’s artistic endeavor grows. Bobbie had her first art show outside of artschool. It went really well, she sold ten pieces and made a good amount of money doing so. She is now working towards her show in February at the Lawrence Public Library. The show starts on the first, we are having a reception the first weekend in February, and runs until the 28th of February. Be sure to get your ass over here and take a peek, she’s done some really beautiful work for this show. Everyone is invited to the reception if you would like to come just contact me and I’ll give you the skinney.

I managed to pass both of my classes this semester with a B and an A. The B was in my spanish class so I don’t feel too bad about it. The good thing is I don’t have to take another spanish course ever.
No quiero tampoco!

Anyway, life is good in general and hopefully things will be good in 2007. Best wishes for the new year to everyone and we’ll hopefully see you soon!

I’m crazy! Its been quite some time since my last update………woops! Anyway, here goes.
I’ve been in the studio with my other band "Guse" and really trying to crank out a demo. Things have been going well though, we finished most of the base tracks in one weekend of pain. We are now working on finishing overdubs and correcting bad spots then on to mastering…….this process is very long. We are going to be posting the three new tracks soon on myspace.com/guserock. We are hoping to have them done by our Nov. 12th show………but we’ll see about that.
Everyone should get ready for The ATB at Bobby T’s on the 10th (happy Veteran’s Day!). It is going to be a great show!

I’m still trying to finish my education…………….I only have 8 credit hours left after December so the end is in sight………hell yes!!!!
Besides that I’ve been working my ass off and trying to keep myself sane……..which of late has been fairly difficult.

My wife has entered an art fair………….everyone cross your fingers that she gets in, it could be a great opportunity for her.

I finally spent some time organizing my new drum kit into what I want it to be…………and WOW, it is an ass-kicker folks. Just in time though, I’m headed back into the studio soon with "Cock the Bolt" to finish up our album.

Peace Treaty Fun

Well, just finished our big show at the Peace Treaty in Medicine Lodge. I had such a great time. I got to play with the guy that taught me how to play and gave me my first kit. Justin and Dorfus Cracktracktor put on such a great show…………and wow, brought a lot of fans. You guys did great! I got a great picture of Teacher and Pupil.

I really enjoyed the weekend.
I’d like to say thanks to G and his folks for giving my wife and I such a comfortable place to crash, you guys are great!
Thanks to all of the ATB fans that came out, good to see you all again.
Congratulations to Brett on his engagement!
Thanks to the band for putting on such a great show………..we really smoked’em this show guys.

Hope to see you all again soon.

Had a pretty slow week, thank god for that, I needed the rest and still do. If you are looking for some cool new music you should check out my other band’s myspace page:

Anyway, don’t have too much to say………..we’ll see you at Bobby T’s this weekend.

Danny’s bound

Hey everyone, just wanted to update you all on the weekend from hell that I’m having. I had a show with the ATB on Wednesday, a show with Guse on Thursday ( while running a 102 temperature) and now I’m headed to Danny’s. I must say though I am feeling a hell of alot better than I did. I’m excited about the show tonight, see you there.

Good luck boys!

Just wanted to wish the boys from The ATB a good show tonight and the rest of the weekend. Unfortunately I can’t be there, family has to come first. Be sure if you’re in the Hays area or not that you get out to see ‘em. The acoustic show is just as good if not better than the full band show. Good luck boys……..wish I could be there. I’ll be back with the band next Wednesday at Harbour Lights, going to be a damn good show.
See you guys on Wednesday!
